Up to 110mm broad; dull pink, becoming darker with maturity; convex, becoming flatter; surface smooth, sticky when moist.
Pale dull pink, becoming darker, brownish as the spores mature; adnate (broadly attached to stem) with both long and short gills.
10-22mm wide x 65-90mm long, white to off-white; smooth, dry.
Spore print: Pinkish brown.
In many different habitats, always fruiting near carcases of animals, when just skin/fur and bones remain. It has been found near decaying remains of sheep, kangaroos, possums and even a pile of fish scraps thrown into the bush!
