Common Name:
Neolentinus dactyloidesis one of a group of fungi that fruit freely only after fire. The tough, leathery fungus arises from a buried mass of earth bound together by mycelium, known as a pseudosclerotium. The gills are close and often forked and are unevenly toothed.
