Banksiamyces is an interesting genus of cup fungi, which are found only from Banksia cones. B. macrocarpus occurs as small grey or black disks on Banksia spinulosa. The discs are most obvious during wet weather, but are hard to see when it is dry. Common Name: None
Fruiting body Cup- to saucer-shaped, 5-10mm, black to dark grey. Prominent in wet conditions but may shrink to near invisibility when dry.
Habitat Grows on Banksia spinulosa cones.
