About Fungimap

Fungimap started as an initiative of mycologist Tom May at the National Herbarium of Victoria in 1996. It is now a joint project of the Field Naturalists Club of Victoria and the Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne. It has rapidly gathered momentum, and currently has approximately 700 volunteers across Australia, and over 10,000 records of sightings of the 100 target species of fungi.
