Fungimap CD-ROM

The Fungimap CD-ROM version 1.1 is currently out of stock. An updated version, with extra images and updated species names will be available by December 2004. You can place an order for the new CD-ROM and we will post it out when it becomes available.

The Fungimap CD-ROM is the ultimate resource for fungi mappers! Compiled by Fungimapper Ian Bell, this CD-ROM contains photographs of all but a few Fungimap target species, and provides detailed descriptions of all species.

CD-ROM cover

The CD-ROM is designed for expert and beginner alike. It contains more than 700 colour illustrations covering most target species, maps for all species and an innovative layout with text linked to different key features of each species. If you are truly a beginner to the fungal kingdom, the CD-ROM provides keys to cap colour, gill colour and shape, spore colour and shape, whether the fungus has pores, gills, teeth or spines, whether it is a puffball or a jelly fungus.

Once you have experienced the power of Fungimap at your fingertips, older methods of identification will seem antediluvian.

Fungimap is dedicated to making it possible for as many people as possible to be part of Australia's Fungi Mapping Scheme. Our CD-ROM is deliberately very inexpensive, but puts into your hands an extraordinary amount of information about our fungi, and the means to discover more about them.

Note: the CD-ROM is not compatible with Macs. To run it you will need PC / Windows, a minimum screen resolution of 800 x 600, and high colour.

Cost: $15.00 (GST inclusive) plus $3.00 postage = $18.00
